WHO WE ARE

Arena Horse Riding is run by Katerina Maliaki and Ilias Siriotis. Katerina had her first contact with horses and riding at the age of four and has worked with horses and riders all over Greece.
She is a certified ENVIRONMENTAL EQUESTRIAN GUIDE & horse trainer, with many years of horse riding experience, participating in equestrian endurance races, and qualification for the National Endurance Team of Greece in 2013. Ilias holds a first aid certification and is competent to provide first aid when necessary.
He is also experienced working with horses since 2009. The stables are run in a professional and conscientious manner with, at the moment 18 horses. We pay individual attention to each animal ensuring that they are well-mannered and in excellent condition. Most of them are rescued horses trained by Katerina and Ilias.

Arena Horse Riding covers more than 4 acres (4000m2).

There is a small arena (22x11) and the riders can ride in there before they go outside with their horses.
There are 5 large stables, 1 small and 2 large shelters for the horses, 1 toilet, parking for 6-7 cars, 2 wooden kiosks, and one tack room (3x6)of which half is for storing the harness and the other half,
the riders can change clothes if they prefer and leave their things or just relax and have a coffee.

Moreover many traditional villages where time stands still and which give a pleasant insight into the Greek way of life.

On 2 hours adventurous ride guests enjoy the central beach of Agios Spyridon and crossing the bridge of the lake the riders are on Nisos island with some hidden beaches, the medieval monastery St Caterina, Cape Ekaterini (Corfu’s most northern point), meet the Antinioti lake which is a protected habitat with rich flora and fauna, and finally reach the km’s long beach of Almiros. Here some cross country jumps only for advanced horse riders will be included.

For the one-hour ride, you can choose between the beach and a hill.

Another option for 2 hours ride is to go on the hill through Pelekito village and the olive groves. Enjoy the breathtaking sea view toward the mountains of Albania.
If you like adventure you can choose a half-day ride which is a mix of the 2hour rides. Have a break at our stable yard and enjoy local products!

Have the ultimate experience by choosing our swimming ride! Starting from the stables we go on the hill and through Pelekito to find the wide, pristine, secluded sandy beach of the Platytera Monastery for an inviting swim, with your horse, in the crystal clear the Ionian Sea.
The rider's family and friends if they want can follow the ride on foot but it is challenging (up and down the hill).

ONLY FOR ADVANCED RIDERS, an all-day challenging ride leads to the semi-deserted Byzantine of Old Perithia on the mountain range of Mount Pantokrator.
A ride through fantastic scenery. The way up to the mountain starts along with a selection of traditional villages, followed by paths through ancient olive groves, and then continues on a track along a gulley bordered by Oak Forest. After hours in nature, only maybe meeting an occasional hiker or shepherd, we reach Old Perithia for an amazing lunch in the oldest tavern O’Foros. After lunch we discover the oldest village in Corfu located a few hundred meters under the summit of Mount Pantokrator, Corfu’s highest mountain (907m).

On the way back there is another break to see
the huge cave Grava which has a lake in it, while all the time enjoying the incredible views of the coastline and in the distance the Greek mainland and Albania.
